5 Facts about Caity from Ethan:
Did you Know! That Caity absolutely loves dogs? There are few things that make Caity’s day better than seeing an awesome dog. And I’m talking every kind of dog. From Corgis to Husky’s, golden doodles and french bulldogs alike, Caity loves being in the presence of dogs. Almost every day she is tagging me in a new picture on instagram of the many dogs that she follows, and spreading the joy dogs bring her. One day we hope to have a corgi of our own! And a golden doodle. And a french bulldog. Just not at the same time.
Did you know! That Caity is the most caring individual that you will ever meet? I’m a super blessed guy getting to marry a nurse, and I attribute my lack of sickness and quick recoveries of my colds to her nursing abilities. If I complain of a cold or that something hurts, she immediately shows up at my door with a big care package of snacks and drugs a plenty that will make me feel better. When I’m excited about something, she truly shows her care by supporting me no matter what in it. It’s the best!
Did you know! That Caity is unbelievably musically talented? I mean not only can this girl sing, but she actually writes beautiful songs and shreds on the piano too! I’ve enjoyed being able to play alongside her for a few years now, and it’s super fun when we get to sing together! I hope that this can go on wherever we end up in life, and it’s super awesome to be able to share these talents with each other!
Did you know! That Caity is an incredibly supportive? I tend to have quite a few obscure hobbies that I like to pursue, and she encourages me in all of them. Whether it’s my knack to travel or making myself a new pedal board, Caity always makes sure that I know that she is just as excited as I am about all the random things I do in my free time. But not only is she supportive through my hobbies, she’s also turned into a huge Penguin fan, lets me listen to whatever I want when we’re driving together, and most importantly stands me up in my walk with Christ! I’m super blessed to be able to have her as a teammate for life, as she keeps me in check and betters all the things that I do!
Did you finally know! That Caity is actually super creative? She actually draws much better than I do, and this is especially proved when we find ourselves at California Adventure’s character drawing activity. She has the visionary of a true creative, and this is expressed through the way she loves to decorate things and even the branding of this wedding! You’re in for a huge creative treat when you come to the wedding, as Caity’s creativity will be all over everything from the flowers to the placemats! I’m even super excited to see what she comes up with, and she is always thinking outside the box. It even helps me a lot as a designer and gives me fresh perspective! What a catch.
5 Facts About Ethan from Caity:
Ethan is quite possibly the largest Ed Sheeran fan ever. And I don’t mean that he’s large. I just mean he’s more of a “Sheerio” than any middle school girl you’ve ever met. The number of times Ethan has listened to Ed Sheeran has literally exceeded the iTunes counter’s capacity. He knows every word to every song ever written and his “suggested videos” section on youtube primarily consists of “Top 10 Ed Sheeran concert moments” type-videos. I must say, I was initially opposed to Mr. Sheeran, likely due to the number of times per day during which Ethan would repetitively sing the same line of one of his songs. But Ethan is nothing if not persistent, and over time, I’ve come around. Can you believe some of his music will actually make an appearance on our big day?
Ethan models the grace of Christ to me every single day. It still amazes me how forgiving and patient he is. There are days when I come home from the hospital and have literally no patience left and Ethan knows to simply give me a hug. Not only is he gracious towards me, he lives his entire life with an attitude of grace. For example, Ethan’s idea of a bad yelp review is 4 stars (out of 5). Seriously though, he always gives me and others the benefit of the doubt, and extends kindness when it’s undeserved. I am so thankful that the Lord has blessed me with a man who is quick to listen and slow to speak!
Ethan is essentially a credit card genius. What may have started as a hobby has now become quite the talent. I’m not quite sure when he finds time for it, but he has blessed me with nice dinners, our honeymoon flights, and many other travels through his strategic card juggling. At first, I must say I didn’t quite understand this hobby. But after many dinner conversations where Ethan exclaimed “Ooooh! Guess what credit card I got today?”, I came to learn that this is a true skill. Like almost everything else in his life, Ethan uses this gift to bless others.
Ethan is incredibly generous. Whether it’s his time, his money, or his talent, Ethan holds on very loosely to things and is consistently giving to others.I observed this frequently throughout our time at UCLA and in Cru. He led worship and Bible studies, used his design skills for announcements, let people borrow his car for grocery shopping and supported people on missions trips. He was and is always willing to help someone out or to support others. It is an encouragement to me to know that I am heading into a marriage with a man who desires to give of himself. I consistently see Christ through him as he sacrifices for others and loves people well.
Ethan is a very humble guy, but he is extremely talented. Whether he’s playing drums, guitar, piano, banjo, or another instrument he just picked up five minutes ago and now plays perfectly, he is truly gifted! His talent shows not only in his creativity through web design but also through the unique way he is able to lead and direct things. Half the time I don’t even understand what his company does, but whenever I get caught up on what they’ve been up to, I am always astounded at how successful he is! Ethan is an incredibly hard worker, and seeks to do his best at whatever is set before him. The most beautiful part of all of this is how quickly Ethan gives all the glory to God and never seeks the spotlight. It is a privilege to get to walk beside him in life and to watch the Lord work through him!
