Caity's Ladies
Ethan's Men
Tyler Paulson // Best Man
Officially my best man and lifelong brother, Tyler has lived with me through it all, and I still call him one of the best older brothers you could ask for because he never used his age against me. We rarely fought, he never beat me up, and although the 3.5 year gap might have helped that, I’m sure he exhibited self control often to not beat down on me. From Floridian beach days wrapped up with a game of soft hockey, all the way to influencing my lifelong path in Southern California, I’ve looked up to Tyler for practically everything I can remember. He got me into bodyboarding which eventually turned into surfing, gave me all the music I grew up listening to, and sparked my interest in web and graphic design. I believe that Tyler almost single handedly shaped me into the person I am today, so I thank him greatly for that. Even though he lives across the country, we still manage to go see concerts in Pennsylvania together or get burritos whenever we’re in town.Harry Redoglia
There is quite literally too much to say about this guy. We share a great love story second to none. We met in 3rd grade and decided that taking his old New Jersey Devil’s hat and tossing it back and forth on the field at Solana Santa Fe was a good idea, and it has been best friends forever since. Through sports in elementary school, and hanging out almost every day in high school even when we were going to different schools, Harry has always been there for me. He conveniently lived a 2 minute bike ride down the street, and I was honored the day the Redoglia family granted me a key to their house. Not even college at different universities could lessen our relationship, and I always get a little too excited every time we get to travel around to hang out with each other. Even though I may be getting married soon, Caity has given me permission to continue our sleepovers involving NHL Hitz 2001 for as long as we can.Michael Stange
Meeting Michael freshman year, I didn’t realize at the time what a close friend and brother he would become to me. During sophomore year when I lived at SigEp, I found Michael and his roommate Yousif’s room as my second sanctuary where I was able to study and sleep in silence. Michael was always a short text or phone call away from setting up his sleeping bag for me on his dorm room floor. Those nights were the first of many we would spend sleeping next to each other, as we became roommates junior and senior year, and even after college until his dang wife took him away from me. Michael has been my pillow talk buddy for the past two and a half years, and has shown nothing but generosity and care towards me. It was super exciting getting to stand along side him in February for his wedding, and I’m even more excited for him to stand next to me in mine!Jake Pearring
I actually don’t even remember the specific time that I met Jake freshman year, but we became great friends really quickly. After a little convincing, he told me it would be a great idea to join a fraternity, and so I took the dive with him. Ever since winter quarter freshman year, Jake has shown me what a true friend in Christ really means, and I’ve had more real and raw conversations with him than with anyone else. Always down for a good alcoholic beverage or high quality cigar, hanging with Jake is always the favorite part of my week. It’s pretty silly that Washington DC is stealing him from me, but I guess it gives me that much more of a reason to get myself out there. I’m super excited to get to stand alongside him in his wedding in May where he officially makes the beautiful Gionna his lifelong best friend, and I’m even more excited to be able to have him in mine!Matthew Clark
I met Matt the summer before my junior year of college, and within days we were the best of friends. You could call our personalities practically identical, and people who have hung around us before know the ‘Matt & Ethan Effect’ where we tend to exaggerate every aspect of our character. I’ve worked alongside Matt ever since we met, and it’s been fun venturing through the world of startups with him and Josh. Since we work together, I could confidently say that I probably saw Matt 350 out of 365 days last year. When I don’t talk to him for longer than 12 hours when we’re apart, it honestly feels weird. I’m excited for him to wrap up his last quarter at UCLA and live with me during it, and even more excited to have him stand alongside me on the 1st!Brett Covington
I met Brett at Earl Warren in 7th grade, and we’ve been best friends ever since. Through leadership back then all the way to delicious steak lunches in the present time, Brett was always a best friend for me when I needed one. We share way too many memories of all the stupid stuff we used to do in Middle school, and have most of it documented to still enjoy. You should search ‘Towing Tikes’ on youtube and look at the first result, it’s glorious. Also, Brethan. Brett is wrapping up his final year at Humboldt this year, and I know he’s going to kill it out in the adult world with his entrepreneurial spirit and hard work-ethic. Love you B!TJ Moneymaker
Teej and I also met during freshman year, and became great friends almost instantly—from heading up to Big Bear often to sleeping next to each other at SigEp. TJ has always been the friend that is ready and down for anything, and there are few things I look forward to more than getting to spend time with him. Throughout my time at UCLA, he has played an incredibly supportive role in my growth in Christ, and I can name few guys as caring as him. From trips to the Yuc town and all the way up the California coast, hanging out with TJ is always a blast. It excites me too much for words that he’ll be standing alongside me on my big day!Taylor Severn
As the future brother in law, Taylor is an awesome dude that I’ve loved getting to know better throughout the time Caity and I have been together. Taylor and I actually have a lot in common, as we both have a passion for design and love skiing. I actually think the design that he’s doing is cooler than my web design abilities, as he’s going into product and packaging design as his focus. Another piece of common ground we have is the joy of ganging up on Caity and teasing her, which is what true future brothers should do. And I’m pretty sure she takes it like a good sport. He’s also dating a girl named Taylor, so that’s pretty cool. Excited to be able for him to fit right in as one of the dudes!
